Built in the 1800's, Tranquil was the "birthplace of Methodism" in the Greenwood, South Carolina area.
Worship services and study opportunities at Tranquil are planned to bring people into a deeper relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Worship services are at 9:00 am and 11:00 am each Sunday.
Special services such as Easter Sunrise Service and Christmas Eve Service enrich the spiritual lives of worshippers.
Sunday School is at 10:00 am each Sunday. There are classes for children of all ages, middle and high school youth, and adults. The goals of Sunday School include spiritual growth, Christian fellowship, and service to the Lord.
A Nursery for babies and young children is provided during the 11:00 am service.
Choir is a vital part of our weekly service. Choir practice is on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm. We welcome all newcomers.
Adult Bible Studies, including Disciple, are conducted at various times during the week.
