THE UNIT MEETING OF THE UNITED METHODIST WOMEN

will be on Saturday, February 25 at 10:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. The Unique Monday Workers will be Hostesses. WORLD DAY OF PRAYER

Hosted by the Tranquil UMW

The United Methodist Women collect labels from Campbell products to send to The Wallace Family Life Center in Bennettsville. We also collect Box Tops for Education for Springfield Elementary School here in Greenwood. These labels help acquire equipment and supplies for these schools. Boxes for collection of these labels are in the Narthex and the Sunday School office. Thank you for your participation in this project.

The UMW Cookbook, All-American Recipes, is available in the Sunday School office. This has been a fabulous successful fund-raiser, as we have sold more than 400 cookbooks. We still have plenty to sell, so keep this cookbook in mind as you buy birthday or any occasion gifts for your friends and relatives. Cost of the cookbook is $10.00

ABOUT UMW

The United Methodist Women (UMW) is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Tranquil United Methodist Women is a vital organization, providing support to its members as well as the entire church. Our focus is missions - local, regional, national, and international. Through members' pledges and gifts, as well as various fundraising activities, the UMW is able to donate a significant amount of money to state UMW projects, such as the Killingsworth Home, to local agencies, such as Meals On Wheels, and to worldwide United Methodist Church mission projects.

UMW Fall Fashion Show

All Tranquil Women are encouraged to become involved in circles. If you would like to receive information about an existing circle or if you are interested in starting a new circle, please see Jane Price or any member of the UMW.

Circles generally meet the third Monday of each month (except summer). Twice a year, in February and October, unit meetings are held and include all UMW members. Visitors are always welcome.

Tranquil’s UMW is recognized as a Mission Today unit by the Greenwood District of UMW.
